Shadow Tactics Blades of Shogun PC Download

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun has a cast of five interesting characters, each with a very unique set of skills and abilities that you have to complete your missions. The game controls from magical and mystical ninja tropes that one usually sees in games and in reality keeps it mysterious. No teleporting, no shadow jutsu clones, no turning into decoy protocols. You'll get stuff like grapple hooks, flint pistols, and spring-loaded traps. Depending on the story events and the current mission, you can only have one or two people on a team at a time, so you really need to use a lot of strategy to overcome the odds. Missions range from gathering intel, listening to conversations, stealing items, assassinations and rescue missions.

Additional information

While Shadow Tactics has minor issues, they don't spoil the enormous enjoyment of the gameplay. This spiritual successor to titles such as Commandos or Desperados will take you for hours. Set in feudal Japan, the game gives us five characters with different talents. The heroes perform a series of missions on behalf of the shogun. The tasks usually consist in eliminating someone important, obtaining information or opening the way for the attacking army.

Shadow Tactics Blades of Shogun The plot doesn't have much to offer. Every fighter will say something interesting sometimes, and the dialogues are written quite decently, but the creators abuse clichés. We have a wise old man here, completely devoted to the shogun and samurai friends, as well as a young, enthusiastic girl. The twists are easy to predict. The gameplay is like solving a huge, highly complex puzzle. Densely placed guards usually stay in the field of view of their colleagues, forcing us to use all available tools to distract enemies.

Shadow Tactics Blades of Shogun The absurd length of some actions is a huge obstacle to the smooth running of operations. Enemies killed by abilities - shuriken, traps or flintlock pistols - quickly fall to the ground without causing too many problems. However, if we want the hero to sneak up on someone and use a sword, we will have to watch a long animation during which other enemies are able to fire up to two volleys with a shotgun.
