Total War Battles Kingdom is a sequel to a strategy game Total War Battles: Shogun, which originally appeared in April 2012 for mobile devices iOS and ushered in a new sub-series of the popular Total War series, not only aimed at PC owners, but also ( and maybe primarily) for mobile players. Although the creation of these two titles correspond to the fathers of the entire series from the Creative Assembly studio, the game produces its own group of works, which works to create a full part of the cycle, independent of the crew. The story The story takes us from the Middle Ages to tenth-century England. You play the role of a young nobleman who, after the death of his father, inherits a declining kingdom. Our job is to take care of the possessions and issues. We are fighting the enemy to rabbits, new lands and win eternal glory. The game in Total War Battles: Kingdom on the PC platform with Windows on two levels. In the first to manage our goods - put buildings, cut down forests, we catch fish, etc. This layer resembles social strategy games, such as Anno Online. An unusual option is the possibility of interference with the terrain -. For example, new riverbeds can be paved. The game wrestle not only fights with artificial intelligence, but also with opponents represented by live players. The ranking system in the kingdom was created in the guise of karcianki Hearthstone - from level 20, and each victory contributes to promotion and higher. In the same way, failure means we lose the position won.
It was like a thunderbolt. Prime Minister Shogun: Total War, which is the first set of views, chained me to the screen for hours. Campaign was played several times, I changed strategies and clans fought the battle spectacularly and constantly admired masters - for those times - graphic design and dense atmosphere of medieval Japan, which look today with a candle in the games. Since then, the brand has strengthened and its inaugural studio, Creative Assembly, began a few experiments. As part of the second edition, a subtitled arena was created free-to-play (and it collects good reviews), and last week after almost a year it debuted in open testing Total War Battles: Kingdom, which is another attempt to simplify the formula and its transfer below for mobile devices. I have bad news - if awarded Golden Raspberries in the gaming industry, the kingdom would be a strong contender for at least a couple of categories. To begin with, the Total War Battles: Britain is not. Well, besides the name, this game has little to do with a series of studio Creative Assembly. Battles, which is the most famous part of the cycle, are schematic kingdom and unrealistic, and the management of the kingdom realized in a way known from the type of browser strategy Anno Online or Stronghold Kingdoms - and so it is primarily based on that continuous wait the tasks to complete themes. We are therefore faced with the classic foundation of the social, browser strategy, on the basis of which created quite an interesting (in theory) and sometimes innovative installment of the often unjustly underestimated species. There was an opportunity to look at Total War Battles: Kingdom, the new mobile title of the studio. The "mobile" category in the case of this game suits its character better than the devices on which we will be able to play it. In addition to the owners of Androids and iOs, the production will also go to PCs and Macs. One of the main advantages that the creators boasted about is the fact that they work cross-platform. Also, a game started on a tablet can be continued on a desktop computer and vice versa.

Thanks to this, the game is divided into 80-day cycles, during which we will compete with others, climb the rankings and lead our kingdom to victory. After this period, the fun begins anew. Like the Big and Old Brothers, the Kingdom consists of two parts - managing your country and battles. In the first one we deal with a map divided into hexes, which we build according to our strategic needs. We can choose from residential, public or military buildings. Each of them is needed to generate resources, expand your population and, finally, recruit soldiers. Everything will be familiar to people who have had contact with any economic strategy at least once. Farms give grain, stone mines, etc.
Total War Battles Kingdom The catch in all of this is the dependence of specific fields on each other. Some buildings require others to be next to them, and resources can only be obtained in certain places. Two interesting examples are the slums, i.e. the basic residential building and the farm. The former affects the production plants located nearby and can only stand in "worse" places on the map. The farm, on the other hand, brings much higher profits if it is built near a water reservoir or a river. At this point, it is worth paying attention to one more aspect of kingdom management, namely terrain formation. Each cube in the game can be raised or lowered. In this way, we can change the routes of rivers, expand lakes or build hills necessary for some buildings. At the same time, be careful not to accidentally flood any part of your infrastructure. If we add the seasons to this - each of them lasts 48 hours, 8 days is a year, and the above-mentioned eighty is a 10-year gameplay cycle - then there are many tactical combinations here.
