Transport Fever launched a week ago, which is long enough for developer Urban Games to think about launching it. They're happy with how it's selling - it broke the week's Steam Top Ten - but have had a few issues with how it's been received by players. They say, "From our analysis, we identified three key challenges: technical issues on launch day, misunderstandings (or lack of explanation) about game mechanics, and performance issues." In order to! Another patch is coming to fix crashes, and it will also clarify game systems by cleaning up inconsistencies and confusion. After that, they focus on improving performance. Then, "sure, we'll keep improving Transport Fever," one way or another. They also plan to release documentation to support modding.

Additional information

Transport Fever Let's say you want to go from A to B. Do you choose train, plane, bus or ship? Do you prefer a more comfortable and faster line, but expensive or something cheap without additional luxuries? Are you going with or without a change? All these questions are answered by virtual characters in Transport Fever. Well, unless it's 1850 and you're either going by train, or by stagecoach, or not at all. The new production of Urban Games studio is a direct continuation of their previous game - Train Fever - and the spiritual heir to such titles as Transport Tycoon, Railroad Tycoon and Cities in Motion. So it's a simulation of running a business based on transporting people and goods - fascinating isn't it?

Transport Fever And yet games that engage in intermodal transport still find buyers and have their own group of fans. Most often due to two factors. First, you need a good business model that reasonably allows you to build a small (or large) empire through patient and careful planning and accurate, analytical decisions. Secondly, you need an element for the collector, something that will make building virtual tracks and streets and launching vehicles on them have something of fun with electric trains on the carpet in a large room.

Transport Fever Unlike Train Fever, its younger sister game focuses on the full range of means of transport, which in practice means adding planes and ships. However, the gameplay model remains the same. We can focus on a few things. On transporting passengers between or within cities. Or the transport of goods between raw material factories, factories and end-users - that is, de facto cities. The production lines of individual goods are logically selected - sometimes a bit more or less complicated - so that they meet the needs of individual parts of the city - whether industrial or commercial. And so building materials will stimulate the growth of the former, and e.g. food of the latter.
