Grand Theft Auto V Review

Postponements, delays and constant delays have been plentiful in the history of Grand Theft Auto V from the very beginning. While this was also experienced to some degree by console gamers anticipating Heist mode, it's hard to compare to the pain experienced by PC owners. Initially, nobody officially announced the appearance of the version on the tinplate, and when it happened, the release date was pushed back three times. It's not surprising that the frustration felt back then has finally come - GTA V has appeared on personal computers. There were many loud announcements, Rockstar assured that they want to spoil the reboot as much as possible. We've listened to it a lot on PC ports, but hey - it wasn't always very true. How is it this time? Did the creators really do justice to the task? Without keeping you in suspense unnecessarily - a hundred times yes ... but with a small "but". But everything is fine.

It is also worth mentioning here how many graphics options are available to the players. In addition to the obligatory high-resolution or crisp textures, we also have many sliders and positions with which we can adjust the quality of grass, shadows, water, particles, car and pedestrian traffic, surface shading, blur, PostFX, FXAA, MSAA, TXAA effects , vertical timing and dozens of others that simply cannot be replaced. Such a wide range allows practically everyone to adapt the appearance of the game to the capabilities of their equipment, although for obvious reasons the title will not look equally good everywhere. Nonetheless, owners of weaker computers will enjoy smooth gameplay, and owners of more efficient machines will have the opportunity to get the most out of them. And that's what an exemplary gameport is all about.

However, the fact that we follow the same storyline in the same places does not mean that the impressions and experiences of the PC version are identical. The PC connection is the only version that supports 60fps image display and I'm not afraid to admit it - it makes a huge difference. Don't be fooled by people who say that the difference between 30 and 60 frames doesn't affect how gameplay is perceived - in the case of GTA V, it's quite the opposite. Because of its greater fluidity, Los Santos is simply viewed through different eyes. City driving "tastes" differently, the action sequences seem more exciting and dynamic, and the cutscenes themselves were looked at even better than before. It is important to remember that not all devices can achieve these 60 frames per second ... And this brings us to the first - and in the case of a port probably the most important - point, namely optimization.

At the time of the release of the PC GTA V, not everything was going perfectly. A large number of players were experiencing issues prior to the game's launch, reportedly related to the use of "forbidden" letters in the account name. Rockstar is constantly working to fix this bug and others, and hopefully all the problems will go away soon, but some players are unable to participate in the game at all. Many people also report other errors that prevent the installation from completing correctly - messages about an incorrect activation code, missing files, or extremely slow downloading of the required update. Those who have successfully installed the game will occasionally encounter Social Club sign-in errors, and there are several other items in the list of known issues. I personally didn't experience any of these during the title, but it's hard not to include them in my final rating.
