They have been polished to be much more detailed, sometimes their clothes have been changed and the existing textures polished, while in other cases they have been completely discarded and re-created using new technologies present throughout Redux. Your hearing organs will find the 4A Games product much friendlier than the original, because the audio layer was also on a long (I repeat, long) list of components with which something had to be done. Refreshed and more complex musical creations have a powerful impact on the atmosphere, and this four years ago was a strong point of the digital incarnation of the Russian metro.
