How to Choose a/an RX 7800 XT Gaming Desktops
- CPU pairing: Look for a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or equivalent; its 3D V-Cache eliminates bottlenecks at 1440p and keeps frame pacing smooth in CPU-heavy titles.
- RAM capacity and speed: Aim for at least 16 GB DDR5, but 32 GB at 6000 MHz future-proofs you for streaming, editing, and upcoming titles.
- Cooling solution: A 360 mm AIO on the CPU and adequate case airflow prevent thermal throttling during extended sessions and protect long-term component life.
- Power supply quality: An 850 W 80 Plus Gold ATX 3.0 unit gives the GPU headroom for transient spikes and leaves room for a future upgrade.
- Storage and connectivity: Prioritize a Gen4 NVMe SSD of at least 1 TB, built-in Wi-Fi 6 or better, and USB-C if you plan to use VR headsets or high-speed peripherals.
