It is worth noting that Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy by Vicarious Visions was created practically from scratch. Creators with several crash platformers on Game Boy Advance or Crash Nitro Kart did not have the source code of the original trilogy and useful reference materials (I recommend an interesting article on this topic), so they had to put a lot of work into capturing the spirit of Naughty Dog games, while maintaining key elements (control, camera operation), and all this should be enclosed in a contemporary frame. It was certainly not easy, but the effect exceeded my wildest expectations.

Between individual games, we are not dealing with such a technological leap as 20 years ago. The graphical differences are more due to the design of the levels than the possibilities - those from the "ones" are more economical and less inventive. But that's how it was years ago. If you haven't played the original Crash recently, check out an archival trailer or gameplay to see that a lot has changed between Crash Bandicoot and Warped two years later. There is nothing to hide, the first Crash is the weakest element of the new compilation, and although I have a huge fondness for this game, the difference between the debut and the sequels is visible at first glance. It is more of a skin for the main character, with the same range of moves and attacks with the same effect, rather than an alternate character with a number of different abilities.
