Three years have passed since the events presented in the seventh part. Ethan and his wife Mia have settled in Romania, in an area under close BSAA surveillance. Their daughter, Rosemary, was born recently. The couple tries to lead a peaceful life, but the nightmare they experienced in Louisiana still haunts them.
The action of Resident Evil Village begins in an unusual way, namely with a disturbing story that Mia reads to her daughter at bedtime. When the girl falls asleep, the parents discuss a dark fairy tale for a while, which turns out to be a local tale. The woman sees nothing wrong with her, but Ethan is not thrilled. Resident Evil Village offers a first-person perspective and puts more emphasis on exploration. In addition to exploration, the main goal of the game in Resident Evil Village is to fight the enemies you meet, solve logical puzzles, and above all, collect four valuable vials, each of which is located in one of the key locations. One of the first creatures presented to us are the Lycans, who made a nest in the village, treating the rest of its inhabitants as their food in Resident Evil Village. The werewolves stationed in this area use not only claws and teeth in combat. They can also use a variety of weapons, including bows and arrows. A different kind of horror lurks in the castle ruled by the mysterious Alcina Dimitrescu and her demonic daughters. While alone they are not so dangerous, in a group they can cause us a lot of problems. However, the aforementioned women pose a much greater threat. The village is the central area of the game. Around it, there are four other locations ruled by the Lords. In Layers of Fear 2 we play the role of a well-known actor. He was given a role in a film shot aboard a transatlantic liner, and it is on the ship that the whole game takes place. During the game, we often hear the voice of the director, who expects the actor to perform at the highest level.
The director never appears on screen in person, but is responsible, among other things, for preparing scenes where decisions are made. Layers of Fear 2 offers three very different endings.
Like the first part, Layers of Fear 2 is filled with strange and surreal scenes. During the exploration of the transatlantic, we do not meet any people, but only come across mannequins set in various poses. The arrangement and decoration of many rooms change dynamically and, as a consequence, we can find ourselves in the same locations again, which, however, will offer new content that allows us to look at the whole thing from a different perspective.
In Layers of Fear 2, the action is shown from the first person perspective (FPP). We spend most of our time exploring the ship's rooms. This is enhanced by interacting with objects in the environment. We can take some of them with us; all such collectibles are stored in the hero's cabin, where all subsequent acts of the adventure begin. Layers of Fear 2 also features many logical and environmental puzzles.
For example, we may be forced to determine the correct combination for a safe, arranging an image from moving elements, opening a huge vault door, restoring power to a given part of the ship or finding the right frames of a film installed in a projector. The puzzles in the game are not too difficult; additionally, there are often hints in the area to help you deal with them.
In Layers of Fear 2, there are also occasional arcade sections. These are primarily various escape scenes in which we have to hide or run away from threats (the hero is completely defenseless). However, arcade scenes can also force you to avoid areas illuminated by headlights, for example.
In Layers of Fear 2, there is no shortage of scenes that try to scare the player. so-called however, there are much fewer jump-scares than in the first part of the series. They have also been better prepared to surprise the player more effectively. Feelings of fear and helplessness can also be intensified by exploring the many claustrophobic and poorly lit areas on board the ship.
The Medium is a horror film in which we play the role of a woman who can see the world of spirits (the titular medium). The protagonist tries to solve the mystery of a child's death. The title was developed by Kraków Studio Bloober Team (the creators of Observer, Blair Witch and the Layers of Fear series). The medium action takes place in Kraków in the 1990s in the abandoned Niwa Hotel, which is modeled on the real Cracovia Hotel. The main character is Marianne - the titular medium. The heroine experiences visions that show her the death of an innocent child and decides to solve this mystery. The Medium openly references classics like the Silent Hill and Fatal Frame series, which can also be seen after the camera is set - we're not dealing with a typical TPP view here, predefined camera angles were used instead.
The fun is still exploring locations, solving puzzles and dealing with all sorts of dangers (especially the monster known as "The Maw"). Marianne's sensitive senses help in the search for clues - a woman can hear "echoes of emotions" associated with a specific object, and even hear fragments of conversations that once took place in that place. The production uses an interesting mechanic to move between two worlds - thanks to her supernatural abilities, Marianne can see and influence the world of spirits. At certain moments, the heroine can move there or function in both worlds at the same time - the game then resembles a split-screen game, where we see the normal and "spiritual" versions of a certain place at the same time. Marianne can also leave her body for a short time and only move in the spiritual sphere, which is often the key to solving puzzles and opening access to new places. Marianne also has some other unusual abilities, like surrounding herself with shields that make it difficult for ghosts, or sending out a wave of energy that threatens her.
Resident Evil 3 is a total remake of the cult survival horror game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which was released for the PlayStation console in 1999 (and successively made available to owners of other platforms over the following years). Responsible for the development and release of this production is the Japanese company Capcom, which is responsible for the brand. As in the remake of the second part of the series, in Resident Evil 3 we watch the action from the third-person perspective (TPP) from the camera located over the character's right shoulder. During the game we travel through the city overrun by zombies and pursue the next mission objectives, collecting valuable supplies and notes along the way, which are a source of information about the situation in the city, eliminating hordes of enemies. In addition, environmental puzzles await solutions here. The authors provide us not only white weapons, but also firearms (in our hands, among others, pistols and shotguns). Since ammo is a scarce commodity here, it's best to use the latter in moderation - sometimes running away is better than dumping your ammo reserves. This tactic works best when faced with a nemesis following our trail. A mutant who repeats the word "Staaaaars" like a mantra gives the impression of being indestructible. He also seems to be more intelligent than his predecessor - not only can he appear out of nowhere (usually at the least expected moments), but he can also use weapons (and his favorite "toy" is the rocket launcher).
Phasmophobia Free is an unusual survival horror game developed with 4-person co-op in mind. The title also features virtual reality support. It is worth noting that the longer we stay in a certain place, the more dangerous it becomes (developers have prepared several different places - we have a choice of a property, prison, farm, school or hospital). There are over ten unique ghost types in the game - each of them has unique traits that make the subsequent investigations quite different. Interestingly, the game also uses the voice recognition function, thanks to which we can sometimes interact with ghosts using our own voice. Phasmophobia features a decent three-dimensional graphic design. As in most productions designed for virtual reality, the graphics do not impress with the technological level, but they reflect the atmosphere of horror well. In addition, the fact that we often move in the dark masks some of the game's downsides. It is also worth mentioning the minimalistic interface, thanks to which nothing interferes with the player's immersion. The production works with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index glasses and headsets from the Windows Mixed Reality group.
Little Nightmares II Download is a sequel to the 2.5D horror platformer by independent team Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2017. Vampyr is a dark action RPG game developed by Dontnod Entertainment Studio - an independent French development team known for the action game Remember Me and episodic adventure Life is Strange. This title is edited by Focus Home Interactive, which has been in the publishing market since 1996. Like previous work by this team, the subject matter described here went not only to personal computers, but also to consoles. The game leans heavily on the style of gothic horror, and in the background of other productions of this type, what stands out above all is the complex network of moral decisions that should bring all the player's actions into the state of the game world. Of course, as befits a bloodsucker game, the production didn't lack such an important element as drinking the blood of the victims. Any character can become them - be it an opponent during combat or a poor sorrow encountered during exploration. We often have to make difficult decisions about which of the independent characters will become our next target, because once eliminated, she will disappear from the game's world forever, worsening the state of the city in the face of the crisis. The creators introduced more than sixty Londoners into the game, who have a precise profile and individual characteristics. Drinking the blood of a random victim can have unexpected effects. Therefore, it is important to first identify the situation and get as much information as possible about your chosen destination. Blood is also an equivalent of experience points, and the more we drink it, the stronger the main character becomes. Killing enemies or completing tasks also leads to an increase in experience points, but just sucking the life of one of the dwellers will significantly contribute to the development of the character. Interestingly, the whole game can be done without killing NPCs, but it increases the difficulty significantly.

Interestingly, the mutant tribe does not behave like animals - each of them has its own beliefs, traditions and relationships with other members of the clan. There will be quite a lot of adversity, and the worst are: cannibals, hunger, thirst and cold. There's a way to deal with any opponent, but it'll take a few hours for us to master the situation.If your stomach is growling, the easiest way is to pick up sticks and create a simple trap. Rabbits will theoretically fall in, but sometimes a clumsy lizard (which likes to hook its tail on a fire, too) will fall in too. If you don't have the patience to hunt, you can always walk to the beach. Compared to the previous version, the hero's equipment has been enriched with a messenger that allows you to communicate with the former protégé of Sebastian - Julia Kidman, who is still in the real world. The tips she gives will help overcome challenges in a nightmarish reality. The device is also used to find items, raw materials, information and side missions.
