Little Nightmares II Download is a sequel to the 2.5D horror platformer by independent team Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2017. The game was first released on PC and PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch consoles, and only later versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S were released. In Little Nightmares II, the heroine of "The Ones" - The Six - returns, but this time she's not a playable character. First fiddle is played by a boy named Mono who, together with the girl, must face the terror that lurks in a new place, distorted by a transmission from a distant signal tower that holds many dark secrets. Mono is their only hope. As in the first part, the gameplay in Little Nightmares II is logical and arcade, that is, it consists of jumping between platforms, overcoming obstacles, avoiding traps, solving environmental puzzles that require logical thinking, as well as hiding in front of enemies hide or run away from those. The player still has to be alert at every step.
The most notable change from the first Little Nightmares is the presence of two heroes who work together throughout the game, particularly in overcoming traps and solving puzzles (in a way reminiscent of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons). There are also new game mechanics, with the occasional emphasis on simple combat systems. The scenes and the dangers lurking in them are also unknown, such as the sadistic school teacher or the bloodthirsty forest hunter. The graphics in Little Nightmares II are kept in the same style as in the first game. Dark atmosphere and grotesque aesthetics prevail. The graphics quality has been slightly increased compared to its predecessor, music and ambient noise underline the atmosphere of horror and constant fear. Little Nightmares II is for single players only. The second character is controlled by an artificial intelligence that reacts depending on the situation and the behavior of the hero we control.

Little Nightmares II An independent Swedish team does not change the rules, once again inviting players to an extremely mysterious world in which the main character wakes up in the forest and begins his adventure after a second. Who is he, where is he going and what is his goal? In Little Nightmares II, no one presents the details, you won't find any notes during the game, no one talks to anyone here - we learn all the details of the events on our own skin, and the presented scenes and places allow you to discover the next pieces of the puzzle. The story is not particularly extensive, and its ending is somewhat predictable, but the climatic production made it difficult for me to leave the TV set.
Little Nightmares II I don't want to reveal too much, so as not to spoil the fun, but I will only mention that at the very beginning of Little Nightmares 2 the main character, Mono, meets the second character and the duo together try to break through the next locations. If you had the opportunity to see the first installment of Tarsier Studios, you will surely follow the events with greater interest, because the Six are in the way of the boy. The heroes try to escape from other monsters, but systematically fall into the gutter like in a rain classic. The whole story is divided into five chapters and although they are not marked with any graphic sign or specific signal, the presentation separates the stages meaningfully and allows you to feel that it is time for the next piece of the story. Each time the protagonists go to a different location, where they face new puzzles, use refreshed mechanics, but also face new dangers. At the same time, I must admit that at the end of the game I felt a bit tired of the adopted scheme - the creators from the beginning to the end use one concept of conducting events, which made the production predictable at some point.
Little Nightmares II Developers, however, managed to fix the biggest shortcoming of the first installment. Little Nightmares 2 offers a much longer story than its predecessor and it took me 8-9 hours to finish the game. This is a clear progress compared to the 3 hours of the original, and we must also remember that the latest item is again available at a lower price and a free update to the new generation will be released in the following months. Studio Tarsier announced the use of new consoles, but in this case we should rather expect minor fixes related to faster loading or the use of DualSense. Already on PS5 (backward compatibility) I did not feel the slightest drop in animation, and during the adventure I had to reset the save point only once, because the hero got stuck during a jump - fortunately, the game still performs an automatic save.
