Ori and the Will of the Wisps The second part of the Metroidvania series of platformers in which players play the role of the title sprite. In Ori and the Will of the Wisps, the protagonist leaves the Nibelwald to discover his true destiny on a journey through an exotic world. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the second installment in the Metroidvania series, the development of which is being overseen by the Moon Studios team. The title was released as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which means that if you buy the console version, you get the PC version for free and vice versa. Ori and the Will of the Wisps Download for PC In Ori and the Will of the Wisps we once again play the role of the title Ori. This time the young ghost goes outside of the Nibelwald to discover his true destiny. Although many dangers await him in the exotic world, there are also allies who are happy to help him. Gameplay in Ori and the Will of the Wisps is based on the scheme known from the first part of the series. While playing we observe the happenings from the side, jumping on platforms and avoiding traps and chasms. As befits metroidvania, individual locations connect into one giant maze-like board, and to access many of them you must solve an environmental puzzle or acquire a specific weapon or spell.
Unlike the first part of the series, this time Ori does not have skills that we unlock over time. In their place came so-called Spirit Shards, which actively or passively influenced Ori. Things are complicated by the fact that we can activate a limited number of them at the same time; however, nothing stands in the way of improvement over time. For the needs of the game, the developers have created a new, more dynamic combat system. The protagonist encounters both normal opponents and much more powerful bosses, which he eliminates using spiritual weapons, spells and combat skills. In addition, over time, Ori will learn new attacks and spells, as well as new skills that will allow him to face more and more challenges over time. Regardless of this, the game is characterized by a high degree of difficulty (similar to its predecessor). The story mode in Ori and the Will of the Wisps is supplemented by the so-called Spirit Trials, i.e. special tests in which we have to prove our dexterity and reflexes in order to win the best time. You can boast about your score on online rankings. The two-dimensional, hand-drawn graphics of Ori and the Will of the Wisps are just as beautiful as the graphics of the first part of the series. The fun is again accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack. The Xbox Series X version operates at 4K resolution and 120 frames per second. In addition, it has an improved audio layer.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps Moon Studios has not released dozens of unique productions. The still independent (although it's rather a matter of time) team from Austria has been actively cooperating with Microsoft since 2011 and for a decade (work began earlier) the creators have prepared only two games. Ori and the Blind Forest delighted the world in 2015, and five years later, we get Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Developers continue the adventure of the main character of the first part and allow him to leave the enchanted forest of Nibel.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps, just like its predecessor, offers players at the beginning several atmospheric and eye-catching animations that introduce them to the game world and provide an atmospheric storyline. Now a new life is born in the magical forest of Nibel: the main character and his fairy-tale family are raising a little owl Ku - if you had the opportunity to play the first part, you will feel at home, because the writers decided to continue the well-known events directly. The masters of the pen again throw players into the sinusoid of emotions, in which we see a few pleasant scenes, joyful for the eye and spirit, only to understand after a while where the problem lies - Ku cannot fly.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps One of the owl's wings is damaged, facing its avian nature which is neither adventurous nor flying, the new family member is unhappy and struggling with several problems. Ori tries to help and ... This is how the story begins. The main character of the series goes to a completely new place that has been engulfed by darkness, and in addition to finding ourselves in a new, mysterious reality, now our task is not only to find Ku, but also to help the surrounding fauna and flora. It was decided to build a story similarly, but there are many more common features in the two Ori's adventures - the studio clearly builds events on known patterns, which of course have been successful in the case of the original and are now only expanded or slightly changed. In my case, the main topic is an 11-hour pleasure with a controller in hand, but if you decide to get to know all the nooks and crannies of the prepared world, the time spent on the game will be extended by a few additional hours.
