Train Sim World 2020 is a sequel to the advanced train simulator released in 2017. Like its predecessor, the production was developed by the Dovetail Games studio, which received worldwide recognition thanks to the Train Simulator series. While observing the action from the first person perspective (FPP), in Train Sim World 2020 we sit at the controls of a selected locomotive and guide it through routes in Germany, Great Britain and the United States to carry out various commands. There are three lines in the game that were not available in the earlier part of the series, namely Main-Spessart Bahn, Northern Trans-Pennine and Long Island Rail Road. Another novelty is the Journey mode, in which we will carry out numerous tasks and scenarios during the 24-hour period; The summaries displayed upon completion provide insight into how we handled the latter. In addition, here we find the so-called action points, i. H. Points awarded for punctuality, while new players should appreciate the presence of extensive tutorials presenting the meanders of the game.
The three-dimensional graphics of Train Sim World 2020 are of high quality, which is thanks to the skillful use of Unreal Engine 4 technology: detailed trains in particular can please, but the detailed environment also attracts attention. I'm standing on the platform in Newark next to the brand new Amtrak ACS-64 CSX Electro-Motive. Maples roam the platform, silently waiting for the train door to open. I look at my watch: It's 3:27 PM, so I should signal myself to leave in three minutes. Before I do that, however, I need to remember my routine activities. Being a driver on America's busiest railroad, the Northeast Corridor New York, is no joke, and even pulling the train is quite a challenge. Do you think I'm exaggerating? Then try to remember the diagram below and make no mistake when trying to exit the platform for the first time.

Train Sim World 2020 For good morning, go to the battery switch and press the button for 5 seconds. After the light comes on, go back to the cabin and reach for the pantograph switch panel. The pantograph raising button, and then the main circuit breaker (MCB), are set to the "closed" position. Set the headlights to "bright", remembering to turn on the side lighting. Now it's downhill: move the controller to the "forward" position, the automatic brake to the "release" position, press the beep (passengers can't wait), then set the controller to about 40 percent. Ride.
Train Sim World 2020 In Dovetail Games we have three train routes at our disposal. In addition to the aforementioned Northeast Corridor New York (NEC), we can travel on the Great Western Express running from London Paddington to Reading in Berkshire (a busy section going all the way to the west of England, allowing the train to roll up to 200 km / h) and Rapid Transit Mitteldeutschland S- Bahn that takes us to Leipzig. Each route has its own characteristics and train compositions. In the case of the German S-Bahn, this includes fast passenger train DB BR 1442 "Talent 2", in the USA we drive Amtrak ACS-64, there is also GP38-2 YN3 etc.
Train Sim World 2020 Each model of train is meticulously recreated, so railway fans will be in cloud nine, peeking into every nook and cranny. Most importantly, Train Sim World allows you not only to sit in the driver's cabin, but also to walk along the platform, carriages or simply take one of the seats and admire the views outside the window. I didn't really like the passenger mode, but if someone wants to spend a few dozen minutes in a virtual car and take a ride around New York / England / Leipzig, then nothing stands in the way.
