The action of Call of Duty Vanguard once again takes us to the fronts of World War II, where we have the opportunity to play four different heroes alternately. The protagonists of this part are the British Arthur Kingsley, a member of the 9th Parachute Battalion, sent as part of Operation Overlord to Normandy; Polina Petrova, a sniper from the 138th Rifle Division, serving in Stalingrad; American pilot Wade Jackson from the sixth reconnaissance squadron, participating in the Battle of Midway, and Australian Lucas Riggs from the 20th battalion, one of the so-called The rats of Tobruk, fighting in North Africa.
Over time, their fates intertwine and together they form the first special forces unit in history, and their task is to stop the mysterious operation "Project Phoenix". As in the previous games in the series, in Call of Duty Vanguard we have to observe the gameplay from the first person perspective (FPP). As part of the title, we have the opportunity to fight in the most important battles of World War II, taking place both in Eastern and Western Europe, in the Pacific and in North Africa, taking turns playing four different heroes.
Call of Duty Vanguard is focused on completing the missions assigned to the heroes and eliminating opponents using a wide range of weapons. During the game, we have the option of sneaking, running, avoiding attacks, peeking into rooms through half-open doors, and our actions (e.g. shooting at the enemy hiding behind a wall) can result in the destruction of the environment. In addition to the story campaign set partly during World War II and partly right after it, the title also allows you to play together in multiplayer mode.
There are as many as 20 maps available to start Call of Duty Vanguard, 16 of which have been adapted to classic 6v6 skirmishes. The gameplay is influenced by the destruction of walls and varied ballistics of ammunition, tactical game elements have also been introduced to multiplayer. The first Vanguard tests are scheduled for August 27-29. The first people who have the opportunity to test the title are users of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
No PlayStation Plus subscription is required for Call of Duty Vanguard. In addition, there was no need to pre-order. However, it is required to have one of the following games: Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Call of Duty Warzone or Call of Duty Black Ops - Cold War. As part of the alpha, players have the opportunity to get acquainted with a new variant of the multiplayer game - Champion Hill, in which they can compete against each other in 2- or 3-person teams. Everyone starts the game with the same equipment, and for defeating an opponent, he receives money, which can be used to buy more weapons.

If you are a beginner and would like to try your hand at multiplayer, start your Call of Duty adventure with the single player campaign. You will learn the basics - how to use weapons and how to move.
If a rival or AI player throws a grenade near a hero, his icon will appear. Try to jump away from it as soon as possible or use the throwback option.
Some missions - or only parts of them - in the campaign can be done silently. Then try to kill as many enemies as possible before the open fight begins.
Remember to choose your weapon according to the situation on the battlefield. Sniper rifles are good for eliminating enemies at long distances, rifles are good for medium and close range, and shotguns and submachine guns are best used for fighting in close quarters.
If you get injured, be sure to look for a safe place where the hero's health level will be automatically replenished after a while.
