Empire of Sin Free empire of sin is a strategy from the prohibition era. The project was developed by Romero Games Studio, led by Brenda Romero. Her husband, John Romero, one of the fathers of the early Doom series, helped her with the work. The action takes place in Chicago in the 1920s. The player takes on the role of the boss of a small criminal organization and his goal is to turn it into a powerful mafia and take control of the entire underworld of the metropolis.
At the beginning of your adventure with Empire of Sin, the player must choose a boss. The productions feature 14 characters of this type, mostly based on real criminals. These include: Sai Wing Mock, Angelo Genna, Maggie Dyer, Stephanie St Clair, Alphonse Capone, Elvira Duarte, Dean O'Banion, Daniel McKee Jackson, Mabel Ryley, Joseph Saltis and Frankie Donovan. Each of them has unique features and abilities that affect later gameplay.
Empire of Sin Download for PC In Empire of Sin we start the game with a small gang engaged in e.g. gambling or illegal alcohol trade. Over time, our organization begins to grow. We're taking over other gangs' territory and expanding criminal activities into new businesses. Virtual Chicago is inhabited by many colorful characters and the player has a lot of freedom to interact with them, including bribery or murder among others. In addition, while playing we will have to pay bribes to police officers, make and break alliances and trade on the black market. As befits a Prohibition-era game, the production and sale of alcohol plays a central role. We can choose between different types of alcoholic drinks divided by quality and price. There is also an opportunity to trade with other criminal groups. Not only does this provide an opportunity to earn additional income, but it also allows you to sabotage competing businesses by selling them poisoned alcohol. If our stores run out we can always buy liquor on the black market or try to smuggle it out of Canada, but both methods are very expensive.

On paper, Empire of Sin looked great. A strategy that draws handfuls from the Sid Meier's Civilization and XCOM series, set in the mafia realities of the 1920s, created by John Romero and the company and published by Paradox Interactive. Doesn't that sound great? Unfortunately, there was no proper implementation. In Empire of Sin, we move to the United States of the 1920s, i.e. to the prohibition period, when moonshine became popular, and mafia groups, including the famous Al Capone and his people, began to deal with the production and sale of alcohol.
We start the game by choosing one of the fifteen leaders who can lead our own gang. They include both real characters, such as the aforementioned Capone, and invented, but inspired by gangsters who once walked around this world. Each leader not only has different skills - passive and active - but also a different storyline. However, no matter who we choose, our goal is one: fight all competition and stand at the top of the mafia ladder. And although we have to deal with diplomacy or take care of business development along the way, bloodshed is unavoidable.
In Empire of Sin, there are 10 Chicago districts that we have to fight for, and 13 mafia families with whom we can get along better or worse (or very badly). We start modestly, by gathering a handful of thugs or conquering insignificant venues. However, if we try and are lucky, we will soon be managing a chain of hotels, casinos, distilleries and brothels.
