Fade to Silence A survivable TPP action game set in post-apocalyptic climates. Players take on the role of a man trying to survive in a world ravaged by eternal winter. During the game we collect resources, build shelters, recruit allies and fight monsters. The project was developed by the studio Black Forest Games with productions such as Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, Rogue Stormers and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams. Fade to Silence Download for PC In the game we play a man named Ash who tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic icebound world. Most people have been killed by mysterious monsters that have taken over the earth or simply freeze to death. A handful of survivors have no chance to rebuild civilization and focus only on survival. Fade to Silence follows the paths of previous survival games. So we have to play build objects and build shelters. We obtain the necessary raw materials on risky journeys into the frozen wastelands, where we are exposed to both monsters and harsh weather conditions, especially deadly snowstorms.

Fortunately, the hero is not alone. During the game we collect allies and bring them to the camp. Each of these characters has unique skills and traits, and recruiting them effectively opens up access to increasingly better items. An additional attraction is the possibility of using dog sleds. Fade to Silence lets you fight with both melee and ranged weapons. There were also moral dilemmas that forced the player to make tough decisions with far-reaching consequences. The authors also created an extensive and dynamic weather system. This includes not only the changing temperatures and snowstorms, but also the fact that people, animals and monsters leave tracks in the snow, so we can often predict what to expect at a given location.

Additional information

In Fade to Silence, we move to the modern world in which a terrible winter has reigned. We lead a man named Ash trying to deal with the situation. Piercing frost, blizzards and snow, from which only plants stick out here and there, are not his only problems. The protagonist is tormented by an evil creature who laughs at his failures and inability to face difficulties. When Ash is cold and wants to light a fire, this creature mocks him that it is a waste of effort - it would be easier to freeze, because such a death is painless. When the protagonist wants to hunt a reindeer, he is mocked that he will not be able to catch it with his bare hands. Fade to Silence When he dies, the evil being mocks him that he has lost - and she has won. An ominous voice trying to discourage Ash from making his efforts at first rather motivates him not to give up, but eventually repeats the same thing over and over again. At one point, I started to completely ignore the comments of a being who likes to emphasize how powerful and evil it is, but does not try to stop us other than with words.

Already in the first moments of the game, I had the impression that Fade to Silence would probably not be my favorite games. From the hints, I learned that I was to gather resources, look for survivors and defend the camp. However, I began to wonder what exactly should I be striving for? Could I somehow stop the evil being and bring the world back to normal by clearing the entire map of contaminated places? Do you pursue the plot, save other people, and provide shelter for them? Do you have a fairly constant supply of resources before moving on? Of course, I didn't need to know it to play, but I do like knowing what I'm making the effort for.

Fade to Silence Soon it turned out that the number of animals to be hunted or trees to be cut down is very small, resources do not renew, so once discovered resources it is better to leave the NPCs to collect and keep looking for new places from which you can get something from . The initial confusion soon ceased to bother me. There are markers on the map where it is worth going, so it was enough to just go there and see what I find.
