Watch Dogs Legion is set in the near future, some time after Brexit (Britain leaving the European Union), which took place on March 29, 2019 in the game world. Since those events, the country (and the whole world) has changed dramatically. Ongoing automation and the dynamic development of research into artificial intelligence have led to a dramatic increase in unemployment; Cryptocurrencies are beginning to displace traditional money. The state, which should theoretically look after the well-being of its citizens, "keeps turning the screw on them". Once a bomb attack takes place in London, in which the well-known hacker group DedSec is framed. As a result, control of London is taken over by a private military organization - Albion. Mass surveillance and arrests are the order of the day. Our goal is to find those responsible for this attack and clear the name of DedSec, which is now forming a kind of resistance movement. In Watch Dogs Legion we observe the events from the third person perspective (TPP). Here we see a bit of a cyberpunk embodiment of London - the skies are teeming with drones and the streets are patrolled by thousands of cameras. There are many iconic spots here, including Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. We can move around the metropolis on foot or at the wheel of one of the futuristic vehicles. The driving force of the game are various missions and, on top of that, various side activities.
We can eliminate opponents both in open combat and silently, sneaking behind their backs. For Watch Dogs Legion, the writers decided that the killing would be limited. A wide variety of weapons are available to players, half of which can only be used to stun enemies. We also get different types of gadgets - from a smartphone, which is our basic work tool (we use it to hack electronics or scan citizens and opponents), to flying drones or remote-controlled robots resembling spiders. Unlike its predecessors, Watch Dogs Legion has no main character. Instead, throughout the game we can take control of any neutral character that shows sympathy for the DedSec group; While many NPCs are happy to support us from the start, others need to be persuaded to do so, for example by taking on specific tasks. At any point in time we can have twenty such rebels, which we can switch between at any time. Each prospective DedSec member not only has a unique look and personality, but also a disposition that is reflected in their benefits; While one character gets out of jail faster (more on that in a moment), others can do more damage when their health drops to a critical level, or be better at dealing with silent elimination of enemies. The residents of London were created based on several archetypes that affect the unique abilities of the "character class" - construction workers have access to a transport drone, and police officers or Albion members can use their faction's clothing to sneak through the guarded area . There was also a spy modeled after Agent 007.

There is not much good to say about the storyline in Watch Dogs Legion. Only the beginning is nice, which is a bit "bond" and spectacular, but then it all goes to the head. History is somewhere in the background, but few people will get involved and, in my opinion, this is a step backwards from its predecessors. The antagonist is not interesting at all, the main plot is also not particularly captivating - the city itself stands out most clearly, which is probably the best designed of the entire stake.
Watch Dogs Legion In a nutshell - the story of the game takes place in the near (and hopefully fictional) future, in which there are bombings in central London. The DedSec organization known to us from previous editions is responsible for this terrorist act ... or at least this information was given to the media.
Watch Dogs Legion Our job is to clear the good name of the DedSec hacker group, but first we need to lead a rebellion in the capital of England - because after the bombings, the city was taken over by the Albion organization, which heavily under surveillance and controls London society.
